Halloween is coming, but the supermarket shelves are full of candy since the begining of September. It is almost a tradition to make stocks of sweets long before the holiday, but besides the fact that the price might be better, the health risks might not be worthed. The calories are a weight loss patient’s worst enemy, because something as little as 100 extra calories a day add 10 pounds to his or her body during one year. Besides, the body needs to recover after surgery, and sugar is not the way, as it doeas not contain neither fiber nor protein, but it contains sodium and carbohydrates.
